14 August, KATHMANDU : On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan, a simple and graceful flag hoisting ceremony was held at Embassy of Pakistan today. Charge dAffaires, Mr. Adnan Javed Khan hoisted the flag. Due to COVID-19 pandemic only Embassy’s Officers & Officials attended the ceremony.
Messages of President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out. Addressing the flag hoisting ceremony Charge dAffaires Mr. Adnan Javed Khan recalled the history of Pakistan movement under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Referring to the Jammu Kashmir dispute, the Charge d`Affaires said that resolution of this long outstanding dispute in accordance to the wishes of the people and the UN resolutions would complete the agenda of the partition.
